How to Transfer Files from pCloud to Google Drive

What happens to your files on this route

  • pCloud hands out time-limited download links bound to the region host your account lives on, and refuses to serve them to an arbitrary web page.   • Uploads over 32 MB are sent in resumable chunks sized to Google's 256 KiB unit, so a dropped connection resumes from the last confirmed chunk rather than restarting the file.
  • Arrival is proven, not assumed. Google returns the stored size and its own checksum for every uploaded file, and Cloud Combo compares both before counting the file as delivered. A file that does not match is transferred again automatically.
  • Folder structure is preserved exactly: nested folders are recreated in Google Drive as they were in pCloud, and empty folders come across too.

Far more depends on how many files you have than on their total size: every file is a separate request to pCloud and another to Google Drive, and both rate-limit independently, so a hundred thousand small files takes much longer than the same bytes in a few large ones. A few gigabytes across a few hundred files is usually well under an hour. Large migrations run for days and that is normal — a real 510 GB move of 222,844 files completed in full, and the largest route run so far was 2 TB. Nothing needs you present while it works.
